Hey look, the ex-Hitler Youth leader of an organization famous for hiding child molesters and setting people on fire for doctrinal disagreements has announced that gay marriage is a threat to humanity's very future. Wow. A threat to our future? Seriously?

Is it fair of me to bring up Pope Benedict's Hitler Youth past? No, probably not. I suspect that a 14 year old in Nazi Germany didn't have a lot of choice in the matter. On the other hand Pope Benedict XVI is an elderly celibate dude living in a city he's basically the king of and he's calling gay marriage a threat to humanity. That's pretty bullshit too. Also, the Catholic Church did protect child molesters and set people on fire. Look, I realize that the Church also does a lot of good things, but fighting gay marriage seems like a waste of resources as well as a pretty dick move. Maybe they could take all the effort and money they spend trying to keep gays from being treated equally and help even more people. Wouldn't that be the churchy thing to do?

Yeah, dudes getting married is totally on the list of things threatening humanity.
