I'd like to apologize to 14th century victims
of the plague who, in fairness, didn't have
the benefit of science. We do though.

Anyway, it's called urine therapy which--hang on--I say it's called urine therapy like it gives it some kind of weight or suggests actual science, but I mean, it's drinking urine as a remedy for disease so obviously it's not real. Like, it's not real. It's like some dumbass medieval plague remedy. The fact that it's being touted by a guy called Christopher Key who once got escorted out of a Walmart for threatening the pharmacy staff administering the vaccine there with execution under the Nuremberg Codes tells you everything you need to know.

Ok, so some nutter without a shred of credulity is telling people to drink pee. Does that mean we should paint every anti-vaxxer with same brush?

Yes. And we can probably throw the MAGA/Trumpy folks in there as well. Sure, there're fools on both sides. I live in Santa Cruz, and there are some hippies out here with bananas ideas about COVID, but I think it's safe to say that the preponderance of dumbassery when it comes to COVID can be laid at the feet of American conservatives. Along with our broken healthcare system. And economic inequality, transphobic bullying, inaction on climate change and guns, a packed Supreme Cou--holy shit are they everything wrong with everything?

I realize the danger inherent in a guilt by association argument. But I also realize that many of the same people working to undermine democracy and instal a narcissistic gameshow host as dictator are the very same people who applaud high infection rates at political rallies because they feel that it makes Joe Biden look bad. Also, they're drinking their pee. I know it's not all of them, but if one finds oneself on the side of people who drink their own pee, it's perhaps time to reevaluate one's own worldview.
